According to a report released by the Cambodian Development Council on the 14th local time, a total of 36 major investment projects were approved and registered in September this year, with a total agreed investment of 470 million US dollars, including two solar power projects.

From the perspective of investment sources, the proportion of local investment capital from Cambodia was the highest in September, at 57.8%. China's investment accounts for 28.66%, ranking second. Malaysia and Vietnam account for 6.52% and 6.25% of investment respectively, ranking third and fourth. The investment projects approved this month are expected to create 17000 job opportunities for local residents.

The key investment projects approved in September include two solar power plants in Cambodia's Bodhisattva Province, with installed capacities of 350 MW and 30 MW respectively, and investment capital of 225 million US dollars and 33 million US dollars respectively.

The Cambodian Development Council stated that in the first nine months of this year, investment activities in the country were mainly concentrated in the industrial sector, and investments in agriculture and agricultural product processing, tourism, and infrastructure construction also showed an increasing trend. This indicates the continued diversification of investment activities in Cambodia and reflects investors' confidence in the investment environment in Cambodia.
