On September 15th, the 2026 International Digital Energy Exhibition and the 2026 Energy Green Development Conference opened for the first time on the same stage at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The event will last until September 17th and is a high-level and high-density strategic dialogue and industry docking event in the global energy field. This event has over 50000 square meters of exhibition and conference space, gathering forces from various sectors of government, industry, academia, and research around the world. Nearly a hundred digital energy innovation achievements were showcased, attracting participation from more than 50 countries and regions and nearly 400 overseas enterprises. The on-site intended procurement demand exceeded 300 million yuan, and the industry docking results were abundant.

This grand event landed in Shenzhen, relying on the strong industrial foundation, leading green transformation achievements, and high-quality innovation ecology of the local area. As a global hub of the electronic information industry, Shenzhen is making every effort to build a global digital energy pioneer city, with green development indicators ranking among the top in the world. At present, the proportion of local clean power installations in Shenzhen exceeds 80%, and the energy consumption and carbon emissions per 10000 yuan of GDP are only one-third and one-fifth of the national average. In 2026, the highest power load in the city will exceed 26 million kilowatts, ranking first in load density among large and medium-sized cities in China. The average annual power interruption time for users is less than 7 minutes, and the power guarantee capability is leading in the country.

Industrial innovation is the core advantage of Shenzhen's digital energy development. The added value of the local new energy industry has achieved double-digit growth for four consecutive years, with the layout of 196 digital energy technology innovation platforms, gathering industry leaders such as Huawei, BYD, and Betray, as well as a large number of specialized and innovative enterprises. Core technologies such as liquid cooled supercharging, photovoltaic inverters, and energy storage are leading the world. At the same time, Shenzhen actively promotes the collaboration of computing and electricity, the integration of computing and network, and the landing of key projects such as green power direct connection and source grid load storage, which points out the direction for the deep integration of energy and computing power development and makes the agenda of this exhibition highly strategic and forward-looking.

The main forum of the exhibition gathers academicians, experts, international organizations, and representatives of enterprises to discuss core issues such as energy security, new energy systems, dual carbon technology, and electrochemical energy storage. It focuses on hot topics such as AI green energy, computing and power coordination, and national security for roundtable exchanges. The exhibition simultaneously released three heavyweight achievements: the official publication of the international journal Energy Use, the "2026 Shenzhen Digital Energy White Paper", and the "China New Energy Industry Urban Competitiveness Index Report (2026)". Among them, the first C-TECH INDEX three-level evaluation system provides professional reference solutions for the development and energy transformation of the national urban new energy industry.

This exhibition focuses on the landing of multiple cutting-edge hardcore technologies, achieving breakthroughs in multiple fields such as energy security, energy storage and consumption, AI empowerment, and cross-border integration. In the field of energy security, State Grid Corporation of China, Southern Power Grid, China National Nuclear Corporation, and CGN have successively released core technologies such as transmission, emergency support, supercritical power generation, and solar thermal power generation, laying a solid foundation for the security of the new energy system. In the field of energy storage, companies such as BYD, Xinwangda, and Huawei have iteratively upgraded their energy storage solutions, promoting the advancement of energy storage technology towards large capacity, high safety, intelligence, and grid construction, and assisting in the stable integration of new energy into the grid.

AI+Energy "has become one of the biggest highlights of this exhibition. Shenzhen relies on the country's first power IoT operating system, "Dianhong," to achieve interconnectivity of various power terminal devices and incubate multiple innovative applications of HarmonyOS Energy. At the same time, multiple global and national pioneering technologies such as the CGN nuclear industry model, Southern Power Grid distribution network AI intelligent agent, aerial mobile charging, and refueling scenario specific intelligent system have been implemented, promoting the intelligent transformation of the energy industry.

In addition, Shenzhen has launched a number of benchmark projects for comprehensive energy cross-border integration, including the world's largest regional centralized cooling system, park level energy Internet, and integrated power supply system for wind, light and storage. Multiple localized energy solutions and domestically produced gas turbine control systems have been successfully put into operation, with innovative scenarios such as wind and fishery integration, high-speed zero carbon management, green low altitude applications, and green power direct supply computing centers, achieving cross-border integration of energy and multiple industries. In the field of carbon services, Shenzhen has established a full process carbon management system, implemented multiple national first carbon labels, carbon standards, and carbon financial products, and maintained the largest trading scale of green electricity and green certificates in the southern region.

This exhibition has a highly international nature, with multiple international authoritative institutions deeply participating and over 200 international procurement teams conducting precise docking. Shenzhen builds a global energy industry trading and cooperation platform to help Chinese and foreign enterprises connect and expand their markets in both directions. The exhibition initiated the establishment of the "Bay Area Computing Collaborative Innovation Alliance" to promote the practical implementation of computing collaboration from theoretical issues to industry. At the same time, in conjunction with the APEC Energy Ministers' Meeting, the "Digital Energy Shenzhen Tour" event will be launched to showcase benchmark energy application scenarios throughout the city. Multiple parallel forums cover diverse topics such as space energy, low-carbon industries, AI energy transformation, and industry going global, building a complete industrial ecosystem that integrates basic research, engineering implementation, commercial operation, and capital docking.
