High and Low Voltage Switch Cabinet Daily Maintenance Recommendations

As a Low-voltage Power Distribution Cabinet Factory, we have the following recommendations for the routine maintenance of high and low voltage switchgear:

1. Do insulation work according to the environment

Usually, the temperature range required by the Low Voltage Switch Cabinet is between -10 °C and 45 °C. If the ambient temperature is too high, the electrical conductivity of the metal parts will be low, and the electrical resistivity will increase, and the oxidation will gradually increase. The insulation strength of the insulating member is also lowered. Of course, an environment that is too cold will also cause large internal stresses on the components of the device, thereby damaging the reliability of the insulation. Therefore, it is necessary to add some reinforced insulation appliances and insulation protection measures according to the situation, and the surrounding environment requires no fire source, no pollution, no corrosive chemicals.

2. Do the appropriate dust prevention and inspection

Metal equipment used in High Voltage Switch Cabinet can be coated with suitable paints in order to prevent rust and corrosion. In order to eliminate the influence of dust on the insulation performance, the dust in the equipment should be cleaned regularly with a brush. Frequently operated electric gates should be regularly checked for looseness of the fixing screws, and lubrication and fastening work should be done.

3. The internal wiring of high and low voltage switchgear should be reasonable

Sometimes due to production needs, it is necessary to temporarily draw power from the Low Voltage Switch Cabinet for high-voltage equipment. In the wiring, it must be in strict accordance with the electrical safety management regulations, and the conductors with good insulation performance should be able to fully meet the power load. The need for electrical professionals to operate requires wiring to be smooth and not knotted, no entanglement between the wire and the line, do a reliable grounding work. When the temporary power supply is not needed, it is necessary to promptly remove the newly added power supply facilities and clean the site.
